Summer Wedding in North Canton, Ohio
Meliza Araujo and Angel Fuentes hired a wedding planner and coordinator, Melissa Klatt, of MK Events in Canton, Ohio who then connected with me via email. She stressed it was important to the bride and groom that I was comfortable around a heavily Spanish-speaking crowd. I assured her of my comfort around the language from growing up with friends of many ethnicities. Shortly after, she confirmed that the couple loved my work and chose me to be their photographer!
A Double First Look
Meliza had a first look with her father and it was the sweetest thing ever! Tears rolled down dad’s cheeks as he saw his daughter wearing her wedding dress for the first time! It was a picture-perfect moment documented with so many photos! Meliza also had a first look or also known as a wedding dress reveal with her bridesmaids. She has a very close relationship with many of the ladies in her bridal party, their expressions were very emotional, and I could feel their love for Meliza through their emotions.
A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Angel saw Meliza for the first time as she was escorted down the long aisle to the gazebo by her father and Angel and Meliza’s son. They were surrounded in the gazebo by their wedding party, their parents, and their closest relatives while friends witnessed their union seated alongside the gazebo. It is a tradition in their Dominican and Honduran cultures to feature a ribbon cutting at the end of their wedding ceremony to clear the path of becoming one.
Fun Photos
I always love when a couple is open to taking fun portraits and that is exactly what we did! We also captured dreamy portraits alongside a glistening pond. Followed by an indoor reception at The North Canton Civic Center was the perfect balance of nature and party lights.
